Your Aquarium is a virtual aquarium designed to brighten up the Southbank QCAD campus and encourage students, staff, and passersby to pause for a moment of wonder. The idea was to transform a transitional space into an immersive environment filled with drifting jellyfish, playful fish, and gliding sharks — all moving in unexpected rhythms across the screen.

I aimed for the visuals to feel alive. Each creature appears and disappears at different times, keeping the experience fresh and constantly changing. Some animals drift smoothly in loops, while others bounce and shift in surprising directions. To achieve this, I experimented with generative animation techniques in TouchDesigner, balancing randomness with flow to mimic the natural rhythms of the ocean.

Ultimately, Your Aquarium was about turning code and geometry into something soothing, curious, and alive. A reminder that digital design can create not only function but also moments of calm delight.
