Playful
Brand Identity
For Play 32, a Queensland-based advocacy initiative, I designed and developed a vibrant brand identity.
Breathe is a mobile app concept created to tackle the rising levels of anxiety and depression. It is aimed at individuals aged 16–40 who value mindfulness and self-care, providing a calm digital space to develop healthy habits. The goal was to create an experience that stands out from the repetitive and overly minimalist mindfulness apps currently flooding the market.
Through market research, I recognised the limited variety in this area and aimed to craft an interface with a brighter, more playful aesthetic that still conveyed calmness and clarity. Using Figma, I developed wireframes and tested interaction flows, exploring various navigation options, including the use of buttons versus scroll functions.
After gathering user feedback, I rebuilt the prototype in Unity to explore key mobile interactions. The design emphasised a soft colour palette and gentle animations to craft an inviting user experience.
The final prototype demonstrated how visual style and interaction design can shape user engagement with wellbeing tools. Besides developing technical skills in UI/UX, this project reinforced my passion for creating digital products that encourage balance and healthy routines in daily life.
